The carrot’s dangled with the first photo,
A slightly pixelated image of a screen
You try to ignore it but fail,
Daily checks for proper pics – the new routine

How many times d’you watch the videos
Of Roystinho examining each trainer?
Lured-in, drawn-in, sucked-in
To buy your new favourite Claire Rayner

“Yeah, I think I’ll give this one a miss”
You kid yourself and promise the wife,
But we all know how this story goes
With credit card payments for life

So forget about your rent or mortgage
And get your priorities right,
In clothes, shoes and free booze
At an adidas Spezial night
