0114

Well oh they might’ve wore Classic Reeboks
Penguin monkey jackets, V-neck jumpers of Lyle and Scott
Dunlop Green Flashes, Lacoste polos on top
Aquascutum scarves… Yes these boys, they had the lot

A group of lads more Yorkshire than Pete McKee
That love Hendo’s, that love Yorkies, that love a chippy tea
Some even partial to a mushy pea
0114 will always be the place to be

The Leadmill, the Astoria, SNL in America
All the Barflys, the Academies, student unions in a nearby area
A local leisure centre in Newport, South Wales – complete and utter hysteria
Mixed with the overwhelming smell of chlorine – far better than any stadia

A big round of applause for AN of AM
Your second favourite bassist, he says, has produced a real gem
A book that would deservedly sit at the top of the Prem
Those early day doubters were just vampires them
